The Fault in Our Stars 
by John Green

The Fault in Our Stars is an amazing book about 16-year-old Hazel, a girl diagnosed with lung cancer who unwillingly attends a cancer support group each week.  One day, she meets Augustus Waters, a charming, witty boy who recently had Osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer.  Together, the two make a journey on a roller coaster ride of emotions including love, sadness, and hope as they fulfill Hazel’s dream of meeting the author of her favourite book.  Expect to laugh, cry and love through this masterpiece by John Green.

I Am the Messenger 
by Mark Zusak

Ed Kennedy is a good-for-nothing underage cabdriver who has almost no hopes or dreams for the future.  His life revolves around his unrequited love for his best friend Audrey, playing cards, and his stinky dog.  However after stopping a bank robbery, Ed receives an odd gift in the mail that changes his entire life. Full of suspense, adventure and sheer brilliance, Zusak has created a masterpiece that will appeal to every reader!

Carpe Diem 
by Autumn Cornwell
